Tkiyet Um Ali Distributes 362,293 Food Parcels to Families in Need during 2018

Tkiyet Um Ali announced it has distributed 362,293 food parcels to 30,000 families in need throughout the Kingdom’s in 2018, in an aim to secure their daily nutritional needs and to promote solidarity values within the community by delivering donors’ support to the benefiting families.

During 2018, TUA has also served more than 165,905 hot meals to women, children, elderlies, and wayfarers through its daily feeding program, Wayfarer, which is held on a daily basis at its main premises in Al Mahatta.

TUA has also served more than 114,000 Iftar Meals during the holy month of Ramadan in 2018, through its Mawaed Al Rahman Program at its main premises in Al Mahatta, Amman and in several governorates in the Kingdom, and through Mawaed Al Rahman it held in the West Bank in Al Aqsa Mosque and the Ibrahimi Mosque.

During 2018’s Adha Eid, Tkiyet Um Ali has performed more than 22,927 Udhiyah on behalf of its donors, as more than 67,937 families have benefited from the distributed Adahi meat in 12 governorates across the Kingdom.

As part of TUA’s quest to include CBO’s in its expanding operations to deliver food support to families living in extreme poverty, Tkiyet Um Ali has signed 266 cooperation agreements with CBO’s in 89 districts in the Kingdom in 2018.

Tkiyet Um Ali has increased the volunteering opportunities to the community in 2018, as more than 9,576 volunteers have participated in 12 volunteering programs aiming to change beneficiaries’ lives and their communities.

Tkiyet Um Ali’s Director General thanked all its supporters, donors and partners saying “We thank all TUA supporters and partners from the public and private sectors, local CBO’s and volunteers who all contribute to help Tkiyet Um Ali achieve its vision that is to reach a Hunger-Free Jordan”.
